DAMODAR A RIVERSCAPE

From this cauldron, over the course of time, the river has woven out its own stories. Stories that are nested within its geographical and natural contours and yet stories that eventually spin beyond their origins. This collection is a short segment of such diverse, fragmented, and often unexplored stories have evolved over time, metamorphosed, and eventually created a chronicle of the river.

EXPLOITATION & RETALIATION

Over the years humans and human civilization has exploited the nature for its own short-lived benefits. It had left behind deep wounds on the soul of mother earth. At times we have seen retaliation by the nature, and it had taken over civilization, along with all its proud creations.
Eventually the equilibrium is maintained, and civilization evolved…

JOURNEY'S END

How do you embrace the end? Those who smelled the soil and watched the lights of stars, those who knew the gods and the humans, they will fall in love with death. The only urge that will remain with them will be the urge to explore darkness. A darkness that remains luminous, transient. A darkness that will live after everything ends.

IN LOVE WITH LONELINESS

Loneliness has an intensity. However, unlike traditional thoughts, loneliness is not necessarily a feeling of sorrow for me. Rather, it gives birth to a sense of sublime beauty and opens up many unseen, unimaginable doors to the core of the mind. The paintings and photos in this section attempt to capture this very realization.

MONSOON BY THE SEA

The dark and rich texture of monsoon clouds over vast expanses of the ocean create a deep impact on the viewer’s mind. This series attempts to showcase that this impact goes beyond the beyond the visual impact and instead, touches some chords that resonate with one’s soul.

SIGNIFICANTLY INSIGNIFICANT

Forms and patterns are naturally woven across various parts of trees. However, they are blended in such ways that we often tend to miss them. This series attempts unwrap these forms and formations and showcases that there exists another version of reality beneath the surface.
